Michael Owen relishes captain's role under Kevin Keegan

Michael Owen, the Newcastle United forward, has revealed that he is revelling in the role of captain at a club who finally appear capable of avoiding relegation under the management of Kevin Keegan.
欧文透露道~他正享受着作为队长的乐趣~而这支由基冈执教的球队已经最终显示出有足够的能力远离降级区~
Owen trained with the England squad yesterday in preparation for tomorrow's friendly against France in Paris and, after struggling for fitness and form this season, is confident of an upturn in fortunes with club and country. The goal he scored against Fulham on Saturday was the 28-year-old's second in as many matches as Newcastle secured a league victory for the first time since December 15.
欧文昨天随英格兰国家队进行了备战法国队的训练~在本赛季一系列健康与状态的调整后~欧文自信将会给俱乐部和国家队带来更多提升空间~星期六对富勒姆的进球是自去年十二月十五日以来俱乐部取得的第一场胜利~也是欧文近期的第二个进球~
“I am really enjoying being skipper,” Owen said. “Obviously, it was tough at the start, just the same as it was for the manager. The boss came in and appointed me and we almost started new roles together. It was a tough assignment straight away, but the victory against Fulham was a monkey off our backs. We had a tough start under Kevin with the way the fixtures came about, but now, hopefully, we can go on a little run.”

Owen looks likely to be named among the substitutes at the Stade de France tomorrow, but Fabio Capello, the England manager, has watched him closely in recent weeks. While Capello would rather Owen played a more conventional attacking role at the club, he has been impressed at the striker's versatility operating in a withdrawn position.
欧文很有可能在明天的国家队比赛中作为替补上场~但是卡佩罗在最近几周一直对欧文有密切的观察~卡佩罗一定对欧文在回防能力上同样出众的表现印象深刻~尽管也许他更宁愿欧文做好本职的前锋工作~
Owen has worked closely with Keegan at St James' Park and said: “When you are getting beaten and lacking confidence, you tend to have more meetings. When you're winning, you don't want to touch anything. We've had our fair share of chats over the weeks and we've set some goals.
